Lela Ingram
Welcome! I’m Lela Ingram, a dedicated Special Education Advocate with over 13 years of experience in the field. My journey has been driven by a deep commitment to ensuring that every child with special needs receives the support and resources they deserve to thrive academically and personally.
I hold a BA in Psychology, an add-on license in Special Education, and have completed Master’s degrees in Curriculum and Instruction and Educational Leadership. Most recently, I became board certified as an Advocate in Special Education. This comprehensive educational background equips me with a multifaceted understanding of the educational system and the diverse needs of students.
Throughout my career, I’ve worn many hats—teacher, LEA (Local Education Agency) representative, lead teacher, transition coordinator, and administrator. These roles have provided me with a well-rounded perspective on the challenges and opportunities within special education. My experience spans from designing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) to leading educational initiatives and advocating for systemic improvements.
As a Special Education Advocate, my mission is to empower families by providing clear guidance, support, and advocacy. Whether navigating the complexities of special education law, developing inclusive classroom strategies, or facilitating smooth transitions for students, I am dedicated to ensuring that each child’s educational experience is tailored to their unique needs and strengths.
